Task Groups
Learning for the 21st Century - Appendix A: Point 4
To help us with our work, we have established four initial task
groups, including members of the Advisory Group and others with
relevant expertise and experience. The four task groups have
as their focus the following concerns:
- Family, Community and Citizenship Learning (Convenor: Keith
Jackson);
- Workplace Learning (Convenor: Jim Sutherland);
- Technologies to Support Learning (Convenor: Naomi Sargant);
- Finance and Funding for Learning (Convenor: Alan Tuckett).
In preparing our advice, we have drawn on the early deliberations
of the task groups and intend to publish their reports, on completion
of their work, early in 1998. This will be during the period
of consultation following the publication of the White Paper as
a contribution to the wider public debate on lifelong learning.
We intend to consider the establishment of further time-limited
task groups in the future to help us carry forward our work and
will also publish their findings.
