Recommendation(s): 51

Recommendation 51: We recommend to the Government, institutions, and the representative bodies of higher education, that, over the long term, the superannuation arrangements for academic staff should be harmonised by directing all new entrants to the Universities Superannuation Scheme.

8.6 This recommendation is under consideration in the current review of the Teachers’ Pensions Scheme.
